First Day of 5th Grade!

We had an AWESOME first day of 5th grade at MTMS! Check out some of the fun things we did today! Be sure to ask your 5th grade scholar all about their day. The blog posts and pictures are great conversation starters and talking points for you and your child - but not a replacement for that face to face quality time!

In your child's folder today, they should have beginning of the year paperwork for you to fill out. We are looking for a quick turn around and have them returned TOMORROW, Wednesday Sept. 5th!! In Mrs. Powell's homeroom, the class can earn 10 extra points on the scoreboard if everyone returns every form tomorrow!

We played some ping-pong get to know you games in Mrs. Powell's class. It was a fun way to learn everyone's names and ask questions to get to know them better. Lots of laughs on day 1 are always good!

We had an assembly and played some fun team building and cooperation games! Human Hungry Hippos is always a blast!

We also played a challenging human chain hula hoop game. This is my shocked face that our team didn't win. We worked so hard! Fun stuff!

**Photo release forms went home in folders today, so if you DO NOT want your child's picture posted on our blog, please send me an e-mail ASAP and I will remove it immediately. Otherwise, I will check the forms as they come in and make note of who can and cannot have photos posted.
